Application Specialist – ERP BA / projects / hands on

Are you looking to work in a complex environment, understanding business problems but also getting hands on with implementing system solutions?

We are looking for an Application Specialist with experience with ERP systems to deliver and support solutions within and around the core ERP and wider business systems.

Working with managers and end users, you will be required to understand and specify business requirements large and small.

With your expertise in understanding systems and solving problems, you will manage the smooth delivery of new requirements in conjunction with the system provider, through the leadership and assistance of other team members and ‘hands-on’ to directly configure and build the solution.

Salary:

£45,000 - £65,000 per annum

Location:

Hull - Hybrid

The Role

1. To understand and determine system needs via consultation, process analysis and observation
2. Acting as project principal to develop and configure customised solutions
3. Inspire, lead and guide other Application Specialists
4. Using technical expertise to create documentation, reports and workflows
5. Integrating solutions with wider business systems
6. Help maintain and improve existing solutions and systems
7. Understanding the wider possibilities of technology and bring new ideas to reality

Key Skills

1. Experience and knowledge of order processing ERP systems at high volume
2. Relational data, reporting, data manipulation and BI experience
3. Strong analytical, problem solving and process analysis skills
4. Excellent oral and written communicator, able to talk to technical and non-technical colleagues
5. Self-driven, confident to lead and to listen to others
6. Manage and track multiple projects across teams and third parties

Desirable

1. Experience of the Kerridge ERP system - but not essential
2. Knowledge of Builders’ Merchant operations and systems (or similar volume trades)

This role encompasses all areas of system delivery and support, from creating an initial business specification, ‘hands-on’ building of that solution, to final delivery. A high degree of interpersonal, analytic, technical and project skills are needed.
