Job Description:

An Application Service Owner is sought by a global manufacturer and retailer to take responsibility for a new central business application. This is initially a 12-month fixed-term role with the possibility of becoming permanent.

The successful candidate will be involved in onboarding the application, working with the third party, and becoming responsible for application management, support processes, incident and change management to ensure the provision of an effective and reliable application.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure effective operation of incident, request, and problem management processes based on ITIL best practices.
  2. Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to deliver application management services.
  3. Provide service performance reports to evaluate the effectiveness and performance against SLAs.
  4. Maintain compliance and proactively manage risks.
  5. Manage and coordinate the full change lifecycle.
  6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.
  7. Maintain detailed, high-quality documentation.
Essential Experience:
  1. Relevant experience in commercial service delivery and application management.
  2. Experience in business application ownership.
  3. ITIL Foundation certification (Incident, Request, Problem, Change).
  4. Understanding of business applications and processes.
  5. Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  6. Ability to interpret technical application and integration data.
  7. Highly organized, self-motivated, results-driven, with strong attention to detail.
  8. Stakeholder management skills at all levels, both internal and external.

The role offers a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 plus a car, flexible benefits, and bonus. It is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days in the Milton Keynes office (non-negotiable).
