Adecco in Warwick is recruiting an Application Security Engineer to embed security into the software development lifecycle and work with developers to promote secure-by-design practices. The role is based in Warwick with up to 75,000 GBP per year and typically 1–2 days per month on site.

You will conduct security assessments, support DevSecOps initiatives, identify vulnerabilities before release, and help strengthen CI/CD security throughout the technology estate.

Application Security Engineer

Up to 75,000 Warwick (1-2 days per month)

Embed security into modern software development. We're partnering with a leading UK infrastructure organisation to recruit an Application Security Engineer.

This role focuses on ensuring security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle, helping engineering teams identify and address risks before applications reach production.

You'll work closely with developers and technical stakeholders to promote secure-by-design principles and strengthen application security practices across a growing technology estate.

What we're looking for

• Software engineering background
• Around 5 years' experience in Application Security, DevSecOps or related positions
• Experience securing SaaS applications
• Strong understanding of application security principles
• Experience working closely with development teams
• Knowledge of secure coding and vulnerability management
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive security improvements
