Checkout.com is seeking a Junior Application Security Analyst to join the Information Security team. You will work with developers to embed security early in the SDLC, run SAST/DAST/SCA scans, and help remediate vulnerabilities across applications.

You’ll collaborate with engineering to improve secure coding practices, participate in threat modeling, and support CI/CD pipelines with DevSecOps principles in a hybrid London office model.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in application security, secure software development, or related IT/security role.
• Understand basic network technologies and protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS and the OSI model).
• Understanding of common software vulnerabilities and their mitigations.
• Basic programming experience in Python, JavaScript, or Golang.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps principles.
• Basic understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP or Azure) and GitHub security features.
• Strong attention to detail in documentation and assessments.

Responsabilités

• SSDLC & Secure Coding: Assist in integrating security controls into the SSDLC.
• Application Security Testing: Run SAST/DAST/SCA scans and API security testing.
• Threat Modeling & AppSec Analysis: Participate in threat modeling sessions and document threats.
• Vulnerability Management: Triage, prioritize and track remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Collaboration & Awareness: Work with engineering to improve secure design and deliver SSDLC training.
• Contribute to security documentation and pipeline automation.
