Application Sales Engineer (Remote) – Power Switching & Monitoring (PSM)

Location: Remote – Covering North of London to Sheffield (excluding London)

Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time

Salary: £49,900 per annum + 13.6% Bonus + £568/month Car Allowance

About the Role

We are recruiting for a technically skilled Application Sales Engineer on behalf of a leading manufacturer of power switching and monitoring solutions. This remote-based role is responsible for covering the region from North London to Sheffield (excluding London), with a focus on driving technical sales and providing expert support throughout the customer journey. You will act as a key point of contact between the business and its customers, supporting with quotations, tender documentation, product training, site visits, and post-installation support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce quotations and tender documents for the company’s power switching and metering product range
  • Attend pre- and post-tender meetings and represent the business in project discussions
  • Carry out commissioning, handovers, and training sessions on customer sites
  • Deliver product updates and technical presentations to end users, consultants, and contractors
  • Provide internal and external training for sales teams, system integrators, and key clients
  • Generate and follow up on new business opportunities in key target markets
  • Utilise CRM and support tools to manage technical support and project documentation
  • Support the National Sales Manager in implementing commercial action plans
  • Meet performance metrics including sales targets, new customer development, and customer visit frequency

Candidate Profile

  • Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (required)
  • Electrical trade qualifications beneficial
  • Strong technical understanding of switchgear, monitoring systems, and integrated products
  • Excellent communication, time management, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and independently
  • Ideally based between North London and Sheffield
