Job summary

A leading HR firm is looking for a motivated Application Project Manager to oversee application-related projects in the defense and security public sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and compliance standards while coordinating multiple stakeholders. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in IT and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar project management contexts. Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, is essential.

Contract: 1-Year under TG payroll, convertible to client’s headcount based on performance (Long-term project) | Fully Onsite
Role Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Application Project Manager to lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of application-related projects within the defense and security public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end application project management from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business goals and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and government stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage project timelines, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, demos).
  • Track and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
  • Ensure quality standards and security policies are maintained throughout the SDLC process.
  • Prepare regular project status reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate UAT planning and execution, including test case review, defect tracking, and user feedback.
  • Support audit, documentation, and handover processes in compliance with public sector protocols.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in application project management within the defense/security-related public sector.
  • Proficient in Scrum methodology and sprint-based delivery; Agile experience will also be considered.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with government project governance, security, and compliance frameworks is an advantage.
  • Only Singaporeans may apply due to project clearance requirements.
