Job description

An exciting opportunity to work as part of a growing End User Services UK department supporting multiple high-profile clients as part of the Capgemini portfolio. The role of Application Packager will be a forward-thinking position, which supports the client by providing software in a controlled and monitored method. Also allows you to drive a path for change, improvement, and efficiency as standard. This is an opportunity to drive your own improvements and change the landscape for end user experience.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employmentchecks, including:identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)

Your role
  • Provide an organized and controlled method of providing software to the client.
  • Document each individual application so an understanding of what the packaged application is expected to do and how this was achieved
  • Build relationships with the client, 3rd parties and vendors
  • Identify Automation, efficiency opportunities, problem solving and solutioning
  • Assisting with UAT fault resolution and quality assurance testing

Your skills and experience
  • Experience with PowerShell Application Deploy Toolkit (PS- ADT) or Microsoft Software Installer (MSI) Packaging and Troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of different packaging tools/installer engines e.g.: ADT, Orca and Flexera Admin Studio.
  • Knowledge of scripting – VBS, Batch etc. Working knowledge of Power Shell.
  • Understanding of SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) or MECM (Microsoft endpoint configuration manager) administration
Your security clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
