Technical Application Support Engineer

Location: Warwick, Warwickshire, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

The Technical Application Support Engineer will support the delivery of our Enterprise Application service, ensuring our technologies remain fully supported and evolve in line with product roadmaps. Day to day, the role will perform proactive maintenance activities, mitigate operational risks, manage integrations, deliver level 3 technical incident resolution, and drive continuous improvements.

What you’ll do:

  1. Monitor integration and batch processes daily, remediating errors swiftly to minimize business impact.
  2. Administer corporate applications, including Oracle & MS SQL databases.
  3. Provide technical incident resolution for Telent’s Corporate Application issues.
  4. Troubleshoot problems, identify causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  5. Run SQL queries and updates to support data changes.
  6. Identify technical inefficiencies and create solutions to address them.
  7. Participate in project implementations, including design reviews, system testing, and configuration.
  8. Conduct regular risk assessments with remediation plans to reduce technical risks.
  9. Create technical documentation to support the software development lifecycle and ITIL processes.

Who You Are:

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to support current operations and future growth.

Key Requirements:

  1. Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, application platforms, and operating systems.
  2. Hands-on experience with technical application and integration support.
  3. Strong technical knowledge across application components.
  4. Experience with Software Delivery Lifecycle, ITIL, and Agile methodologies.
  5. Ability to review work for quality, accuracy, and relevance.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across all levels of staff.
  7. Good written communication skills for documentation and effective communication.
  8. Investigative and solution-oriented mindset.
  9. Customer-focused approach to manage requirements and resolve incidents promptly.
  10. Hands-on experience with enterprise technologies such as Microsoft Azure Integration, SQL databases, Power Platform, Oracle Integrations (OIC), Snaplogic.
