Your Impact

The Application Engineering Manager for Utilities will oversee a global team of Application Engineers supporting instrument-based monitoring solutions in the electrical Transmission and Distribution sector. The role involves supporting new and existing customers, traveling to key accounts, providing training, and collaborating with various teams to resolve technical issues. Our global presence ensures responsiveness and support across time zones, offering growth opportunities within a high-visibility team.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and lead the Applications Engineering team to support sales of monitoring systems worldwide.
• Collaborate with Sales Management on deployment, prioritization, technical support, and demonstrations.
• Monitor team effectiveness, financial impact, customer response times, and satisfaction.
• Identify training needs and implement accordingly.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• A BS degree or equivalent in Electrical or Computer Engineering; an MS is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in technical customer service or commercial operations, preferably within the utility Transmission, Distribution, or Power Generation industries.
• Knowledge of IT, communication protocols, instrumentation, and basic programming.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in presentations and public speaking.
• Proven success in leading and developing teams.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce.com is a plus.
