Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an Applications Engineer in the West Midlands for a permanent hybrid role. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a new Warehouse Management System, providing support to end-users, and contributing to system upgrades and documentation. Ideal applicants will have over 3 years of experience in application support or software implementation, with knowledge of logistics processes and ProWMS as a strong advantage.

Applications Engineer

West Midlands | Permanent | Up to £40,000 per annum | Hybrid

Our client are looking to onboard an Applications Engineer on a permanent basis to help with the implementation of a new Warehouse Management System. The right candidate will play a central role in the configuration, support and continuous improvement of a WMS platform.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing first-line support to end-users and resolve application-related issues. This includes also scanners, printers and data exchange with customers (EDI)
• Assisting in the configuration, testing, and deployment of new WMS solutions
• Participating in system upgrades, enhancements, and integration projects
• Documenting processes, configurations and user guides
• Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying areas for improvement

Required experience:

• 3+ years of experience in application support or software implementation
• Knowledge of warehouse or logistics processes is a strong plus
• Knowledge of ProWMS (Principal Logistics WMS) is a strong plus
• Strong written and spoken English language communication skills
