Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking an Application Engineer in London to join an Investment Management firm’s Europe FAS Engineering team. You will build and enhance digital platforms powering client onboarding and customer journeys across Europe, spanning frontend, backend, cloud and AI-assisted tech.

The role requires strong Angular, Java, Spring Boot and Node.js experience, plus AWS and CI/CD proficiency. A distributed team environment and regulated financial services context are part of the day-to-day.

Qualifications

• Experience with Angular, Java, Spring Boot and Node.js.
• Proven AWS experience (Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, EC2) and CI/CD.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments.

Salary: £60k-£80k + 20% bonus + £10.5k guaranteed bonus + 14% pension

I'm working with a global Investment Management firm looking for an Application Engineer to join their Europe FAS Engineering team.

Purpose of the Role

You'll build and enhance digital platforms that power client onboarding and customer journeys across Europe, working across modern frontend, backend, cloud and AI-assisted technologies.

Required Skills

• Strong Angular, Java & Spring Boot & Node.js experience
• AWS knowledge - Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, EC2
• Experience with CI/CD & automated testing
• Hands-on use of AI/LLM tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot
• Ability to own features end-to-end and work with distributed teams.
• Experience working with financial services, customer facing digital platforms, product environment, KYC or highly regulated firms.
