On behalf of our client, a leading player in the electrical engineering sector, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Application Engineer to join their Glasgow-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background and a passion for customer-focused solutions to play a key role in the delivery of bespoke engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the sales function by identifying customer needs and formulating technical proposals.
• Deliver pre-sales technical assistance, addressing detailed queries regarding product capabilities.
• Participate in client meetings to ensure proposed solutions meet both technical and commercial requirements.
• Occasionally lead technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Assess technical application of both in-house and third-party products to determine optimal solutions.
• Provide ongoing technical support post-sale, ensuring any issues are swiftly resolved.
• Liaise with engineering, production, and customer service teams to ensure projects are delivered to specification.

Candidate Requirements:

• HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, ideally electrical.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical sales or applications engineering role; exposure to switchgear or power distribution products is advantageous.
• Technically astute with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts clearly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving.
