Overview

Application Engineer
Location: North Yorkshire
Offering circa £35,000 - £45,000 basic salary plus great benefits!

Our client is an established and well respected manufacturing company. This is a full-time, permanent position, based on site at their North Yorkshire office.

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with our client’s UK & international sales team. The Application Engineer may need to support sales in accurately and effectively capturing the customer’s technical requirements to create a technical concept, enabling effective planning.
• Translate a customer’s technical concept into a tangible solution after a sales order is placed, supporting the implementation process, liaising with cross-functional teams to enable manufacturing or procurement activities, and providing technical oversight and sign-off of mass-production or solutions.
• Provide technical customer support after the solution is manufactured to internal and external functions, such as customer production lines and quality assurance.
• Occasionally travel to client sites to answer technical queries or review product implementation.

Throughout the process, ensure solutions are high quality, meet safety standards, are delivered within agreed timeframes, and stay within the customer’s budget.

Qualifications

• STEM-related degree is preferred
• Understanding of automotive, mechanical, and electrical engineering domains
• CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks, designing mechanical or electrical solutions
• Effective communicator capable of liaising with customers to understand pain points and identify the best-fit solution
• Strong Microsoft skills to create detailed and presentable customer-facing technical documentation
• Ability to understand commercial and engineering drivers and constraints

The Application Engineer position is offering £35,000 - £45,000 basic salary plus great benefits. This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm, based at our client’s North Yorkshire office.
