Full-time/Part-time/Internship: Full-time – 40 hrs/week

AMPYR Solar Europe operates a modern, cloud-based IT environment, primarily utilizing Azure, SharePoint, and other cloud-native solutions to support business operations. The Application Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability between these systems, enabling efficient business processes and enhancing overall IT performance.

This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising activities related to the integration and development of enterprise applications, ensuring they work together cohesively to meet business needs. While software development remains a component, the primary focus is on designing and implementing integration strategies that allow different platforms, tools, and applications to function in concert.

Although this is a leadership position, the relatively small size of AMPYR Solar Europe means the successful candidate will need to be hands-on in both technical and managerial capacities.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IT systems integration, an understanding of business process automation, and a strategic approach to technology adoption. Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP solutions would be a plus. A strong network of third-party developers and IT professionals will also be beneficial.

The role requires excellent stakeholder management skills, as collaboration with various departments will be key to successfully integrating and optimizing the company’s IT landscape. Given AMPYR Solar Europe’s operations in the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands, some travel will be required.

Responsibilities:

1. IT Integration Strategy: Design and implement integration frameworks that ensure seamless interaction between cloud-based applications, including Azure, SharePoint, and ERP systems.
2. Portfolio Management: Manage the overall portfolio of enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business strategies and objectives.
3. Project Leadership: Collaborate with business leaders and IT teams to translate business initiatives into a prioritized roadmap and execute projects effectively.
4. Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with software providers and implementation partners to ensure high-quality, reliable, and secure technology solutions.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Establish strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless communication and integration of technology solutions.
6. Service Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in application development processes, enhancing productivity and maintaining high performance across the IT division.
7. Operational Excellence: Work closely with the IT Department to ensure system availability and minimize outages during critical business hours.
8. Solution Design: Gather requirements and design solutions to critical business needs.
9. Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, potential risks, and key milestones.
10. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and security threats associated with technology solutions and projects and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

1. Strong expertise in IT integration and application connectivity within a cloud-based environment (Azure, SharePoint, etc.).
2. Proven ability to analyse complex business processes and design IT solutions that enhance workflow and efficiency.
3. Hands-on experience with integration tools and methodologies (e.g., APIs, middleware, ETL processes, automation platforms).
4. Experience with NetSuite, Project Management, CRM or similar ERP systems is a plus.
5. Knowledge of enterprise software architectures and IT infrastructure.
6. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
7. Ability to manage IT projects from planning to execution while balancing strategic oversight with hands-on problem-solving.
8. Willingness to travel within the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands as needed.
