A leading energy company based in Glasgow seeks a Consultant to lead application solutions delivery. The role involves managing technical aspects and vendor relationships while ensuring effective system performance. At ScottishPower, we are looking for Consultants with a balance of technical expertise and functional experience to join our Centre of Excellence, Architecture and Technology team. A motivated self-starter with strong technical skills, you will be able to work under limited supervision and will bring fresh ideas from the utilities sector and beyond. As technical owner, you will be responsible for all technical aspects of a suite of applications. You will be managing delivery roadmaps, co-ordinating functional and technical upgrades spanning across multiple technologies and 3rd party vendors, managing maintenance activities and delivering projects.
You will be versatile, display leadership abilities and be enthusiastic about solving challenging problems. As subject matter expert in your field, you will be driving the delivery of solutions to meet the fast-moving needs of the business, whilst using your technical skills to interrogate systems for problem shooting and analysis.
Providing great customer service is key to everything we do. So you will be striving to improve system stability and identifying and resolving performance issues to ensure our customers have a great experience. You will also put performance and stability at the forefront of everything you do. Security is also key to what we do, so you will be responsible for keeping our systems secure through rigorous vulnerability management.
