Job summary

GCS is seeking an Application Architect for a 6-month hybrid role in Canary Wharf, London. The position will involve creating architectural standards for on-premise and Azure cloud software products and guiding cloud migration projects.

You will review blueprints, provide architecture guidance, and code critical components while aligning with compliance and security requirements. Experience with Azure, DevOps, and AI integrations is essential.

Qualifications

• In depth understanding of OO programming concepts and the full SDLC.
• Good understanding of MS .NET Framework environments.
• Knowledge and experience of Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of Cloud and AI technologies for the workplace.
• Extensive experience as software/solutions architect.
• Experience designing high-level concepts for software solutions.
• Experience with Azure cloud-based and on-prem solutions.
• DevOps and SCRUM experience.
• Experience in cloud migration planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Create and improve architectural standards for on premise and azure cloud software products, develop cloud migration procedures and guidelines.
• Assist in cloud migration projects, assess readiness and dependencies, optimize for the Cloud.
• Create and review blueprints for software products, provide guidance on improving architecture.
• Coding mission critical parts and performing code reviews.
• Assist on integrating AI technologies to improve existing systems.
• Ensure that applications are in line with compliance and regulatory standards and conduct regular security assessments of these applications.
• Technical writing (creating related documentation)
• Assist developers with any architecture related issues and queries.

Experience
