Job description

This role

As an Application Team Leader, you will be experienced in supporting MTVH’s Business Systems Housing applications (NEC Housing, DRS, Job Manager, Nourish, etc.) and currently providing application support and technical expertise.

  1. Ensure all Application Analysts are trained, managed, and developed effectively to meet the needs of the business and in accordance with MTVH policies and procedures.
  2. Manage a small team and provide effective guidance.
  3. Embed a culture of coaching, whilst nurturing strengths and identifying areas for improvement.
  4. Provide technical expertise and solutions that challenge the status quo, to best fit the needs of the business.
  5. Allocate tasks effectively to ensure work is delivered within the timescales agreed with stakeholders.
  6. Monitor the team's work, check quality, and review operational performance.
  7. Resolve escalations and complaints.
  8. Ensure regular retrospectives/lessons learned sessions are undertaken and actions followed up.

Working Hours: between 08:00 to 18:00, Monday – Friday. This position is suitable for hybrid working, with at least 1 day per week office attendance required.

What you'll need to succeed
  1. Current knowledge and experience in supporting key Business Systems applications NEC Housing, DRS, Job Manager, Nourish, etc.
  2. Experience of system support, enhancement, configuration, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
  3. Experience in managing a small team.
  4. Excellent communication, decision-making, and leadership skills.
  5. Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  6. Demonstrable track record of providing second/third line support for applications in a similar environment and managing SLAs.
  7. Experience of working with third-party suppliers and internal teams.
  8. Knowledge of SQL (preferable).
