Apple TV is seeking an experienced Scripted Creative Executive to source and shape premium UK scripted content. You will identify ideas, work with writers and producers to develop scripts ready for greenlight, and oversee projects through production and post‑production.

You will build a robust network of UK talent, advise on casting and packaging, and collaborate with internal teams and international commissioners to ensure shows travel globally.

Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small specialist creative team working on premium content with global appeal and reach. You’ll be working with high-level talent on- and off-screen, growing a slate of scripted originals for Apple TV. As well as scouting for new ideas, you’ll be responsible for working with writers and producers to get scripts ready for greenlight, including providing guidance to producers on talent packaging. You’ll be able to oversee these projects through production and post production. You will constantly be building a network of talent relationships and spotting the next big trends in global scripted TV within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Source and assess scripts, pitches and other underlying intellectual property with Apple TV series potential.
• Actively seek out new ideas, IP, and trends that can be shaped into premium scripted shows and packaged with great talent.
• Develop a compelling slate of shows that resonate in market and travel globally.
• Guide producers and writers in the development of story and scripts.
• Confidently lead the creative aspects of development, casting, production and post-production.
• Close working relationships editorially with the Apple TV scripted commissioners and the Creative Director, International.
• Collaborative working relationships with Apple TV BA, legal, production, post-production, and production finance teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• You will have extensive experience in scripted series development.
• You will have a proven track record of converting projects from development to greenlight.
• Ideally you’ll have proven pedigree in commissioning, producing, and/or executive producing successful scripted series for broadcasters and/or streamers.
• You will need to be a credible industry executive, with sound creative judgement, and capable of providing clear, supportive creative input throughout development, production, and post.
• You will have an existing strong and relevant network with premium talent (producers, writers and directors) in the UK.
• You’ll have a clear understanding of the UK content landscape with an understanding of what kinds of UK shows resonate internationally.
• You’ll have strong interpersonal skills, an eagerness to collaborate with colleagues and with high-end talent, and the ability to quickly build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
• You’ll have a keen interest in social, cultural, and TV trends, and an interest in how to shape those trends into impactful new scripted series.
• This is a demanding, dynamic and high-volume position that requires a can‑do thinker who is able to prioritise, pivot when necessary, and exercise initiative and good judgement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience of working across multiple seasons of scripted shows.
• Experience collaborating with TV marketing, social and PR teams on the shaping of campaigns and the creation of marketing assets.
• An interest in/awareness of non‑English‑language talent and drama.
