Job summary

Curo Services is seeking an experienced Apigee Engineer to design, build and operate secure API capabilities on Apigee X and Google Cloud. You will automate configurations with Terraform, implement CI/CD, and ensure robust security patterns across environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with Apigee X, GCP, IAM, and networking, plus scripting in Python/Bash/ JavaScript. Hybrid work in London is offered with a client-side Paye model and Inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering experience delivering and operating Apigee X in production.
• Strong knowledge of Apigee X proxies, shared flows, policies and API products.
• Experience securing REST APIs with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT and mTLS.
• Experience automating Apigee X and GCP configuration with Terraform and APIs.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Harness, Jenkins or Cloud Build.
• Strong Linux skills and scripting in Python, Bash, JavaScript or Node.js.
• Ability to own end-to-end technical outcomes and coordinate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate secure, scalable API capabilities on Apigee X and Google Cloud.
• Develop and maintain API proxies, flows, policies, and environments.
• Implement API security patterns and secret-management controls.
• Automate configuration and deployments using Terraform and CI/CD tooling.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines covering validation, testing, and rollback.
• Support migration of proxies to Apigee X and modern onboarding patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve integration issues.
• Provide production support and post-change validation.
