Role Details:
API Automation Tester
Overall purpose of role:
- Under minimal supervision, create automation scripts - estimates, scripts, pre and post conditioning.
- Execute automated tests and collate evidence for test automation progress reporting and tracking.
- Articulate the tests executed, data used, results, and defects to project stakeholders.
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
- API test automation experience.
- Knowledge of test automation tools such as REST Assured, Karate, Selenium, Cucumber using Java.
- Extensive understanding of testing lifecycle and core testing processes/techniques.
- Strong testing skills including estimations, test planning, test case design, execution, bug reporting, and verification.
- Ability to identify processes and tools to optimize testing quality.
- Experience in writing high-quality, readable, reusable, testable code.
- Effective communication skills to report status and progress.
Key Accountabilities:
- Improve testing efficiency and continuously refine test methods, techniques, and processes.
- Participate in requirement analysis, risk identification, and test scenario creation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of feature developments, identify inconsistencies, and resolve conflicts.
- Ensure full integration with a focus on overall service quality.
- Create automation code using Java, Selenium, JQuery, Cucumber.
- Set up and execute automated tests, recording evidence.

- Stay current with emerging software development methods, tools, and standards.
- Drive innovation to improve customer satisfaction, technical excellence, and software delivery.
