Job summary

Know How Resourcing is seeking a Software Developer to design, build and publish APIs, and to own the Azure infrastructure and SQL environment that those APIs run on. You will plan your own work, flag risks early, and deliver with minimal supervision, offering opinions on better approaches when you see them.

The role demands initiative, strong SQL and cloud skills, and the ability to operate securely in a regulated debt recovery tech stack.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and publishing APIs in a mainstream language or framework.
• Practical Azure deployment and live resource management experience.
• Strong SQL skills with joins, aggregations and data updates.
• Ability to plan objectives, get approvals, and deliver with minimal supervision.
• Clear, concise written communication to support independent work.
• Strong ownership mindset for live systems and reliability.
• Ability to challenge approaches and propose improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and publish APIs for data exchange from design to live release.
• Own full API lifecycle: versioning, docs, testing and maintenance.
• Manage Group Azure infrastructure and SQL environment for APIs.
• Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures and reporting extracts.
• Plan work with a short written approach and flag risks early.
• Build and maintain deployment pipelines for APIs and services.
• Provide technical enablement to Operations with API access and data.
• Monitor, investigate and resolve incidents across systems.
• Produce and maintain technical docs for APIs, infra and solutions.
• Operate within security, data protection and compliance standards.
