Job summary

Pharmaron, a global contract research and manufacturing organization, is seeking a Scientist to join the API Operations team in Cramlington. You will support scale-up and manufacture of chemical processes, providing technical input across Operations, Engineering, Quality and Safety in a cGMP manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes process improvement, investigations and new product introductions, with exposure to production documentation and data monitoring.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related chemical manufacturing discipline.
• Understanding of exothermic reaction hazards and how they are controlled.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication across teams and functions.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe scale-up and manufacture of chemical processes.
• Provide technical support to Operations, Quality, Engineering and Safety teams.
• Prepare and review production, process and validation documentation.
• Monitor process performance and product quality using production data.
• Contribute to safety reviews, risk assessments and investigations.
• Support new product introductions and training of manufacturing teams.
