Job summary

Distinct Recruitment is seeking an Interim AP Transformation Specialist to join a Leicester-based project. You will assess current AP/P2P processes, identify inefficiencies, and shape a pragmatic improvement plan with automation and controls in mind.

You will step into an existing AP environment, challenge processes, and deliver tangible improvements on a 3-month interim basis, with hybrid office presence in Leicester.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable and/or P2P with transformation experience.
• Experience in process improvement, automation and workflow redesign.
• Ability to identify bottlenecks, implement practical improvements and measure impact.

Responsibilities

• Review existing AP and P2P processes.
• Identify bottlenecks and unnecessary manual activity.
• Explore automation opportunities.
• Review workflows and approval processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve controls and reporting.
• Root cause analysis.
• Streamline invoice and supplier processes.
• Develop and prioritise practical improvements.
• Implement agreed changes.
• Work with Finance stakeholders and the AP team.
• Help establish more efficient and sustainable ways of working.
