Our Company Secretarial team works to support our clients to provide quality company secretarial and governance services. We ensure that our clients are compliant with the Companies Act and provide support to clients of all sizes. About The Role

The role of a company secretary is to ensure accurate and timely statutory compliance and corporate governance for a range of UK and international clients. You will be the point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing high quality advice and work with other teams to deliver an excellent client experience.


Role And Responsibilities

  1. Provide company secretarial support to a portfolio of client companies.
  2. Construct correspondence to clients and other agencies.
  3. Learn to use company secretarial software (Diligent Entities) for maintaining statutory registers electronically and preparing statutory forms.
  4. Obtain knowledge of the Companies Act 2006 and matters such as persons of significant control.
  5. Learn to draft board minutes and shareholder resolutions to make relevant changes to a company (with supervision).
  6. Learn how to incorporate UK companies and UK establishments of overseas entities on behalf of the firm's clients.
  7. Ensure that clients are afforded the best possible response.
  8. Carry out any other administration tasks that may be required by the management team.
  9. Open and close client matter codes using our in-house software.
  10. Learn client onboarding including anti-money laundering requirements, and preparing engagement letters.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files.
  12. Assist monitoring financial performance of the team.
  13. Have knowledge of the service lines within Forvis Mazars to enable the promotion of the firm.

We are now operating a hybrid working model, so as a trainee you will split your time between working from home, visiting the office, client sites when required or studying for your professional exams.


Who We're Looking For

  1. On track or have obtained A-levels, BTEC or equivalent qualifications. Strong academic performance is important; however, we understand that things don't always go to plan.
