Accountancy & Outsourcing at Forvis Mazars

Our team supports clients in managing their finance functions, understanding their financial position, and complying with evolving legislation. As technology advances, advising on process digitalization, business performance, and financial reporting becomes essential. Our team of over 300 professionals specializes in cloud accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and company secretarial services.

About the Accounting, Advisory and Compliance Team

The team comprises 55 members across Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham, and Leeds. We work with international groups, financial services, charities, academies, private businesses, and investment firms. We assist clients with compliance, interim support, audit coordination, and global support, aiming to build trusted relationships and become their business advisers.

About the role

As a school leaver apprentice, during your four-year training contract, you will:

  • Prepare statutory financial statements for UK and international clients.
  • Serve as the main contact for your client portfolio, providing advice on year-end compliance.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, splitting time between home, office, client sites, and studying.

In the first two years, you will:

  • Learn to use accounting software and systems.
  • Understand financial statements and client businesses.
  • Develop accounting knowledge while preparing financial statements.
  • Review financial data and perform iXBRL tagging.

In the third year, you will:

  • Manage your own client portfolio.
  • Review your work to ensure quality.
  • Handle more complex financial reporting.
  • Apply accounting standards confidently.

In your fourth year, you will:

  • Train and support junior team members.
