The Role
A growing electronics manufacturer is seeking a skilled AOI Technician to join their production team. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality through advanced inspection processes. You'll be responsible for operating and optimising 3D Automated Optical Inspection systems, ensuring inspections meet both internal and industry quality standards.

Working closely with engineering and production teams, you'll help refine AOI programming, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure inspection capabilities evolve alongside software and production needs.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop, program, and optimise 3D AOI inspection routines for accurate solder joint inspection and component placement.

* Perform detailed First Article Inspections (FAI) to validate PCB assemblies.

* Train and support AOI operators to ensure correct equipment operation and consistent application of quality criteria.

* Analyse inspection results, identify trends, and provide feedback for process improvements.

* Maintain and update AOI programs in line with design changes, new product introductions (NPI), and software updates.

* Ensure inspection processes comply with IPC-A-610 standards.

* Contribute to continuous improvement and yield enhancement initiatives.
