Job description

Norse Atlantic Airways is an airline offering affordable long-haul flights primarily between Europe and the United States. Founded by CEO Bjørn Tore Larsen in March 2021, Norse operates a fleet of 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners serving destinations including New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Miami, Cape Town, Bangkok, Oslo, Athens, London, Berlin, Rome, and Paris. The company's first flight was from Oslo to New York on June 14, 2022.

The AOG Desk Buyer & Material Planner is a vital part of the Supply Chain Team, responsible for ensuring the fleet remains serviceable, compliant, and avoiding delays or cancellations.

This is a unique opportunity to join a knowledgeable Supply Chain team as Norse expands its global presence. As the business grows, you will have opportunities for responsibility and personal development within the department.

The position reports to the Operational Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities and duties
  • Provide 24/7 support for Engineering Operations
  • Liaise with Engineering and Planning teams in Oslo
  • React to and support AOG situations by procuring aircraft spares and tooling
  • Procure spares, materials, or tooling to support inventory and engineering needs
  • Manage scheduled material requirements for planned maintenance
  • Coordinate logistics of orders and inventory movements with freight forwarders
  • Respond to AOG situations to resolve spares and tooling needs
  • Support PBH and LRP contracts
Qualifications and experience
  • Standard education
  • Computer literacy
  • Additional qualifications beneficial but not mandatory
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Aerospace Supply Chain
  • Experience in Purchasing and Material Planning
  • Familiarity with Aerospace Technical Documentation
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Experience with AMOS or other MRO/ERP systems is a plus
