Michael Page is a preferred government supplier and has been engaged by the Department of Transport and Main Roads to assist in finding a Part Time AO3 Project Support Officer. In this role, you will provide high-level administrative and project support to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of road infrastructure projects.

Job Description

You will work collaboratively with project managers and team members, playing a key role in maintaining compliance, coordination, and communication across multiple initiatives.

  • Coordinate team meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and maintain documentation
  • Provide support for procurement activities, financial approvals, and contract administration
  • Track and manage project documentation to ensure timely submissions and approvals
  • Assist project managers with a variety of administrative tasks to meet project deadlines
  • Ensure practices comply with departmental policies, WH&S legislation, and governance standards

The Successful Applicant

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of procurement (experience in infrastructure projects is desirable)
  • Previous experience supporting projects in a government or public sector setting is highly regarded
  • Must hold a current 'C' class driver's licence
  • Able to build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders
