Orion Pharma in Cambridge, UK, is seeking a Research Associate in Antibody Analytics to support a growing biologics pipeline. The role focuses on characterizing antibodies and complex biologics using a broad set of analytical techniques and contributes to data-driven decisions for early development.

You will collaborate with purification, expression, discovery, and engineering teams and help establish a state-of-the-art analytics platform at the Cambridge site.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related life science discipline with 1–3 years' lab experience.
• Hands-on experience with affinity measurement techniques (SPR) using Biacore or Carterra.
• Hands-on experience with analytical assays to assess biophysical properties (DLS, DSC, DSF, HPLC, CE-SDS, AC-SINS, UV) and subvisible particle analysis.
• Familiarity with complex biologics such as bispecific or multispecific antibodies, ADCs, or related modalities is advantageous.
• Good understanding of protein structure–function relationships and developability.
• Ability to follow SOPs, maintain detailed records, and contribute to data reporting.

Responsabilités

• Execute experiments to assess quality, stability, and developability of antibodies and complex biologics using SPR, DLS, DSC, DSF, HPLC, CE-SDS, AC-SINS, etc.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot analytical workflows; manage sample prep and instrument operation.
• Maintain accurate lab notebooks and ensure procedures are current and well-documented.
• Assist with forced degradation and stability profiling to support early developability assessments.
• Track and analyze data to support interpretation and decision-making within the Antibody Analytics team.
• Collaborate with upstream expression, purification, discovery, engineering, and functional biology teams to deliver high-quality data.
• Participate in team meetings, share results, and contribute ideas to improve workflows and problem-solving.
• Comply with safety and quality standards, maintain a clean, organized work environment.
