We are recruiting for an Anti-theft Engineer / Vehicle Crime Specialist for our UK customer.

Objectives:

The Senior Physical Vehicle Security role is vital within the Vehicle & Connected Cybersecurity team. It ensures compliance with legislated anti-theft obligations and insurance requirements, and enhances vehicle resilience against theft. The role involves working with cross-functional teams from concept to production, identifying new security revenue streams, and liaising with law enforcement, insurance, government agencies, and trade associations. This is a unique opportunity to impact vehicle security positively.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Assess designs for theft resistance according to Thatcham NVSA criteria and IG rating requirements
  • Perform physical theft attacks
  • Maintain and track requirements through program gateways
  • Organize design reviews with security experts for signoff

Qualifications:

  • Skills:
    • Proficient in Thatcham requirements, physical vehicle attacks, lock picking, electronic attacks
    • Understand IG rating system
    • Mechanically proficient and diagnostically aware
  • Experience:
    • Over 5 years in vehicle crime prevention, stolen vehicle examination, working with insurance and vehicle identification
    • Experience with diagnostic tools and vehicle parts identification (preferred)
  • Education:
    • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
    • MSc preferred

Additional information:

The role involves physical work, requiring hand tool skills and physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting. Hybrid work arrangement: at least 3 days onsite per week.
