A housing provider is seeking an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to manage complaints and support court cases related to ASB. This full-time position in Basingstoke offers a customer-focused approach and requires collaboration with local partners. Here's the facts about the role: As an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer, you'll provide a comprehensive service for our customers, including complainant and alleged perpetrator management, investigating potential tenancy fraud, applying for 'no access' injunctions, appearing in court when needed, and supporting the preparation of legal court applications and statements where legal interventions are sought.
You'll deliver a customer-focused and responsive service in cases of ASB such as harassment and domestic abuse, in accordance with the organisation's policies & procedures, ensuring quality service and value for money.
This role requires a strong team player who can support colleagues and managers with case management, offer advice and training, and liaise with external agencies. You will compile evidence, take witness statements, provide witness support, and assist in court cases. Collaboration with local authority partners is essential to meet customer needs, along with maintaining up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation and best practices.
The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of ASB, tenancy fraud, and housing legislation. An awareness of the social housing sector and previous experience in housing, investigation, or similar roles are beneficial. Strong communication skills and experience working in a customer-centered environment are required. A professional qualification is advantageous but not essential.
Interviews are scheduled for Thursday, 28 August (subject to change). Due to the nature of the role, travel is required, so a full current driving license and access to a vehicle are necessary. The position is subject to a satisfactory DBS check upon appointment.
