Job summary

A leading consultancy firm is seeking an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to support ASB resolution efforts. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of public sector ASB issues and law, coupled with a strong customer service background. This role involves advising colleagues, managing complex caseloads, and collaborating with local authorities to resolve disputes effectively. Public sector experience is advantageous but not a requirement.

Our client is looking to recruit an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer on an initial temporary basis, offering an excellent package and hoping to employ someone as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will have an array of knowledge and experience, including:

  • Commitment to taking responsibility for own professional learning and development
  • In-depth knowledge of public sector ASB issues and law
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment and a demonstrable commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Understanding of vulnerability and safeguarding issues
  • Expert knowledge of managing ASB complaints issues, including investigation and enforcement action
  • Experience of managing a varied portfolio of properties

The successful candidate will be an outgoing, well-rounded individual who will take on a role that entails:

  • Advising and supporting colleagues to deliver excellent services, acting as a source of expertise about law, policy, and best practice in regards to intervention tools to resolve ASB, including mediation services
  • Working with colleagues to ensure the service has a comprehensive and effective set of policies and procedures to resolve ASB disputes and resolve nuisance cases
  • Managing a caseload of more complex issues and working with other services to ensure these are brought to a resolution
  • Working jointly with the Haringey Council Community Safety Team to ensure co-ordinated action on serious ASB and achieving the best possible outcome of cases
  • Working with other teams to improve partnership working and the development of holistic responses
