Job description

We are seeking an Anti-Social Behaviour Compliance Officer to join Sandwell MBC.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the triage of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) reports, ensuring cases are appropriately routed and responded to.
  2. Oversee the ASB case review process (‘community trigger’), maintaining accurate records and delivering timely reviews.
  3. Manage service intelligence and interrogate data to drive service improvement.
  4. Hold a caseload of ASB cases when required, progressing them in line with council policies and procedures.
  5. Support communications and stakeholder engagement related to ASB and Community Safety across the borough.

Essential Requirements:

  • Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent), or relevant experience in ASB, community safety, housing, or neighbourhood management.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in ASB, community safety, or a related field, including collaboration with elected members, legal services, and courts.
  • Experience managing complex enquiries and producing clear, detailed reports and communications.
  • Knowledge of government policy and legislation on ASB and crime, with strong awareness of public, legal, and voluntary sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong IT and case management abilities.
