Location: This position is located at 1-4 New Bond St, Bath, BA11BE, United Kingdom.

Role Summary: To achieve the Anthropologie mission of creating an 'unimagined store experience' by developing a store culture that fosters creativity and inspires both the store team and the customer. To set and achieve strategic short and long-term goals by applying a forward-thinking and omnichannel approach to the retail experience. Oversee and assume ultimate accountability for store operations, sales, service, product presentation, visual merchandising, profitability, and loss prevention, while maintaining a strong focus on employee development and succession. Participate in building community relationships that reflect the Anthropologie culture.

What You'll Be Doing
People
  • Strategically recruit, train, and develop managers to increase the store's productivity.
  • Assist in developing the management team to ensure succession planning and future growth.
  • Manage performance development processes including appraisals, development plans, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Uphold company standards and act as a leader, mentor, and role model.
Leadership and Communication
  • Lead by example and communicate store and company goals effectively.
  • Lead change and innovation to evolve the retail experience, drive sales, and create a unique store atmosphere.
  • Implement new training and operational initiatives.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Manage and motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer care.
  • Challenge and inspire the team to enhance service, merchandising, and displays.
Managing the Environment
  • Coach and empower management to take initiative.
  • Oversee customer service and store operations to ensure a positive environment.
  • Lead by example on the sales floor, providing training and coaching.
  • Partner with Visual Manager for visual displays and store presentation.
Operations
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs and provide feedback.
  • Ensure store procedures are followed accurately and timely.
  • Achieve stock loss goals.
  • Develop efficient shipment processing systems.
  • Plan and organize projects effectively.
  • Oversee health and safety procedures to protect staff and customers.
Merchandising and Display
  • Collaborate on creating an inspiring yet commercial shopping environment.
  • Coordinate with visual teams on merchandising projects.
  • Coach staff on fashion trends and creative solutions.
Commercial Awareness
  • Maximize sales and manage stock levels through analysis of reports and market trends.
  • Understand store profitability and guide team accordingly.
  • Stay updated on trends, social media, and local community influences.
  • Use entrepreneurial skills to meet and exceed targets.
Experience and Skills
