About Us
Founded in 1992 in Pennsylvania, USA, by current URBN chairman and president Dick Hayne, Anthropologie was named after his college major (with a French twist). The brand now operates over 200 stores worldwide and has evolved into a destination for curated clothing, accessories, gifts, and home décor that reflect personal style. In 2009, the first store in London opened, and there are now over 18 stores across the UK and Europe.
