Job summary

1X2 Network is seeking an Animator to join its creative team in Brighton. You will bring static artwork to life with performance-optimized 2D animations for slots and casino games, collaborating with artists and developers to ensure visuals run smoothly on web and mobile.

Join a multi-award-winning iGaming supplier known for titles across Virtual Sports, Slots, and Table Games. You’ll contribute to high-quality character, UI, and gameplay animations, while integrating assets into game engines

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality 2D animation for games or interactive media.
• Commercial experience as an Animator, ideally in games or iGaming.
• Experience with 2D animation tools (Spine preferred).
• Strong understanding of rigging and skeletal animation for real-time delivery.
• Experience with game-ready asset pipelines and real-time implementation.
• Knowledge of Photoshop and/or After Effects.

• Prepare and implement assets into the game engine.

The Role

As anAnimator, you’ll take high-quality artwork from our art team and bring it to life through engaging, performance-optimised animations for our slot and casino games.

You’ll work closely with artists and developers to ensure animations look great and run smoothly across web and mobile platforms.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Character animations (idle loops, reactions, win states)
• UI animations and transitions
• Implementing animations into the game engine
• Ensuring smooth, responsive gameplay experiences

Key Responsibilities

• Create 2D animations using Spine or similar tools
• Prepare and implement assets into the game engine
• Work closely with artists and developers to bring game visuals to life
• Optimise animations and assets for performance and file size
• Assist with rigging and animation systems
• Troubleshoot and fix animation or asset issues
• Support and help improve workflows and pipelines

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing high-quality 2D animation work for games or interactive media
• Commercial experience as an Animator, ideally within games, iGaming or interactive products
• Strong experience with 2D animation tools (Spine preferred)
• Excellent understanding of rigging and skeletal animation
• Experience working with game-ready asset pipelines and real-time implementation
• Good knowledge of Photoshop and/or After Effects
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with both creative and technical teams
• Confidence working independently and taking ownership of animation features and deliverables
• A passion for creating polished, engaging player experiences
• Experience with PixiJS or web-based game engines
• Experience with shaders or physics-based animation
• Familiarity with Jira / Bitbucket workflows
• Previous experience in iGaming or real-time games
