Overview

Animal Management Lecturer – East Surrey College (Redhill) and John Ruskin College (Selsdon).

Salary: £29,373 - £41,718 pro-rata (subject to qualifications, skills, and experience).

Hours: John Ruskin College – Tuesdays 8:45 am – 5 pm; East Surrey College – Wednesdays and Fridays 8:45 am – 5 pm.

A remarkable and unique opportunity has arisen at East Surrey College as we seek to appoint a Lecturer in Animal Management to teach on Level 1–2 Animal Welfare & Management, with aspirations to expand delivery to Level 3 in the near future.

This role sits within a brand-new and rapidly growing department, offering the successful candidate a rare chance to shape its future. You will play a key role in the development of the curriculum, contribute to the design of new facilities, and help establish a vibrant learning environment that includes small mammals and reptiles as part of our hands-on teaching resources.

The successful candidate must have
  • A Teaching qualification at level 3 or above
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in animal science, zoology, veterinary science, or a related field is desirable
  • Experience working in the animal management industry or a similar educational setting
  • Previous, relevant FE teaching experience
  • Maths & English GCSE / Level 2 equivalent
