Animal Health Business Development Manager UK, Manchester

This is a key role within our UK Animal Health Division. It is an exciting and varied position for an enthusiastic and commercially astute individual with the primary focus on achieving sales and margin targets from the generic portfolio across all designated accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for business relationship management within their defined geographical area, building strong commercial relationships with a mix of high-value and high-potential large or small animal customers.

Location:

This role is remote and based around the Manchester area, covering the M62 corridor. As Animal Health Business Development Manager, your responsibilities include:

  1. Achieving sales and profit objectives aligned with company targets and product strategies.
  2. Developing efficient journey plans to visit customer accounts, including veterinary practices, trade outlets, and buying groups' head offices, in coordination with the National Sales Manager.
  3. Creating a territory business plan and sales strategy, including account segmentation to target key opportunities.
  4. Influencing accounts to implement business plans through relationship management, consultative selling, and resolution management.
  5. Managing promotions and campaigns within designated accounts, analyzing ROI, and providing feedback.
  6. Maintaining accurate records of customer visits and actions in the CRM system.
  7. Using CRM data to monitor and plan territory activities, and reporting on business performance.
  8. Providing market intelligence and feedback on customer needs, competitor activity, and market conditions.
  9. Training customers to confidently use products and delivering CPD sessions.
  10. Organizing training events and attending conferences and trade shows as needed.
Education & Experience:
  • Degree in a related field.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Valid passport for travel to Ireland.
  • Minimum of 3 years sales experience in veterinary, animal health, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Knowledge or qualification in animal science.
  • Residence within the territory.
  • AMTRA/NOAH qualification (desirable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Full clean driver's license.
