Are you interested in agricultural commodities and keeping up with the marketplace?

If so, we have a great opportunity for an Alternative Feeds Trader to join our team. Working with our 12 existing Traders who have over 200 years of experience between them and extensive knowledge of the feed market, you will be in great hands!

If you have a dedicated interest in agriculture and are looking for a commercial career, our Alternative Feeds Trader vacancy could be just the job for you.

This role will be based from our Launceston office, with an opportunity for hybrid working. We’d also welcome applicants who have trading experience and would like to work from home.

Salaries will be dependent on skills and experience and discussed on application.

This role is a permanent position.

About this role:

• Providing advice and support to farmers to enable them to make informed purchasing decisions
• Trade alternative feeds such as soya, rape, wheat, and barley to our farming customer base
• Support the sales of the added value and processed grain products, such as fats & caustic wheat
• Building longstanding relationships with our customers, suppliers, and field sales team
• Proactively seek new customers through regular prospecting
• Liaising with our suppliers to ensure our customers receive the best possible pricing and service levels

For this role, you will need:

• A keen interest to develop an understanding of the agricultural commodities market, trends, pricing, and demand
• Passionate with a sound understanding of UK agriculture and terminology
• Drive and determination, and comfortable working within a sales environment
