Vets Now Swansea is seeking an Animal Care Assistant on a fixed-term contract (6 months) starting 22 November. You will support clinical teams, help with in-patient care and assist with theatres for procedures in a busy emergency clinic.

Working pattern includes evening and weekend shifts on a rotating rota, with additional bank holidays. The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£13.45) plus benefits and access to health plan and staff discounts.

Key Responsibilities

As an Animal Care Assistant at Vets Now, you will play a crucial role in assisting our clinical teams with providing a comfortable and stress-free in-patient environment whilst negotiating busy shifts in an emergency clinic. Your responsibilities will include:

• Working under the guidance of Vet Nurses and Vet Surgeons.
• Handling patients for basic procedures and assisting with running diagnostic tests.
• Assisting in setting up and clearing down theatres for surgical procedures.
• Ensuring all in-patients have their basic husbandry needs attended to.

Week 1: Wednesday 18:00 – 00:00, Saturday 19:00 – 08:00, Sunday 19:00 – 08:00

Week 2: Wednesday 18:00 – 00:00, Thursday 18:00 – 00:00, Friday 18:00 – 00:00, Sunday 19:00 – 08:00

Week 3: Monday 18:00 – 00:00, Tuesday 18:00 – 00:00, Wednesday 18:00, 00:00, Sunday 23:00 – 09:00
