inspiring vet care in Dundee is seeking an Animal Care Assistant to join Blackness Veterinary Surgery on a full-time basis. You will support the clinical team, assist with patient handling and care, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for pets and their owners.

Ideal candidates are reliable, team-oriented and eager to develop within a veterinary setting, with good communication and organisational skills. Benefit eligible with extensive leave, pension and wellbeing schemes.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Animal Care Assistant to join our team at Blackness Vetson a full-time permanent basis.

Blackness Veterinary Surgery is situated in the Heart of Dundee with close links to the Bus and Train Stations. Perth, Fife and Aberdeen are within a 1-hour car journey away. The practice is a large newly renovated building with various facilities including 2 operating theatres, with piped oxygen, an imaging suite with X-ray and top of the range Ultrasound, dental suite with Dental X-ray facilities, an endoscopy unit, in-house lab equipment, a large training room, where we host regular lunch and learns / team meetings.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Working Pattern

• Working Tuesdays to Saturday. Tuesday - Friday 8.30-5.30 and Saturday 8.30-2
