Animal Care Assistant wanted at Dragon Veterinary Centre!

We are seeking an enthusiastic Animal Care Assistant to work at our busy practice, made up of one main hospital and 4 satellite branches. We promote further growth and development within the team, giving you access to a large client base with a wide variety of cases, equipment, CPD, and a supportive team. In this role, you will work with a large team of dedicated Vets, Nurses, and supporting team members to deliver excellent client and patient care.

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Reception and Clinical teams and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.

Your Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Assisting Veterinary Surgeons and RVNs with patients and adhering to the patient's needs.
  • Manual handling and caring for animals with empathy and compassion.
  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the practice.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
  • Running laboratory tests and packaging samples.
About The Rota

We support both full-time and part-time roles up to 37.25 hours per week, between 8:00am and 7:00pm, including working 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. There is a requirement to work across all our sites. We offer flexible working options to accommodate your life outside of work.

Located in Cheltenham, known for horse racing and vibrant nightlife, Dragon Vets is an established practice with specialist equipment including CT, DR, endoscopy, ultrasonography, and well-equipped operating facilities. Our team comprises 16 vets, 17 RVNs, and 4 SVNs in training.
