Android Software Engineer

Location: Bristol Filton Office

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days onsite

What You’ll Be Doing

This role involves taking ownership of small software applications and stakeholder relationships. Due to the sensitivity of the work, limited context can be provided. Responsibilities include software development across multiple Android applications, requirements elicitation, design tasks, engagement with user representatives, and collaboration with system integrators across platforms. It is ideal for a mid-level Android Engineer with strong interpersonal skills.

• Experience working directly with customers and end users
• Professional experience writing applications in Java or Kotlin
• Good understanding of Modern Object-Oriented Programming Concepts
• Able to obtain security clearance

Nice to haves

• Experience working with System Integration teams
• Professional experience developing Android applications
• Experience with Modern App Architecture and Jetpack Compose

The Team

You will work within a large project (approx. 50 people) comprising various skill sets including Software Engineers, Test Engineers, Infrastructure Engineers, and Product Owners. The project includes smaller agile teams (approx. 4-8 people) and involves collaboration with external engineering teams.
