Motorway, the UK's largest online car-selling platform, is seeking an Android Engineer to join our Mobile Engineering group in London. You’ll own well-defined features from idea to release, collaborating with product managers, designers and other engineers to deliver high-quality experiences for sellers.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience building Android applications.
• Strong Kotlin and modern Android development knowledge.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose or willingness to learn.
• Understanding of mobile development principles, patterns and testing.
• Experience delivering features in a collaborative product team.
• Ability to write clear, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Good collaboration and communication skills.
• Proactive ownership mindset and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, product managers and engineers to build high-quality experiences.
• Design, build and ship Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Contribute to in-house Server-Driven UI framework for faster delivery.
• Support and improve mobile infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Monitor released features and help resolve issues; contribute to engineering standards.
