Methods Business and Digital Technology Limited is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering public-facing digital services in the UK. You will build, improve and maintain accessible Android applications, shaping technical decisions and upholding high software standards.

The role focuses on Kotlin-based development within an agile environment, collaborating with designers, PMs, QA, and fellow developers to deliver robust mobile solutions that scale

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing Android apps.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Experience with APIs and backend integration.
• Automated testing knowledge (unit/UI).
• Familiarity with Git and modern workflows.
• Understanding of clean code, modularity and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin.
• Translate requirements into reliable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Write clean, well-tested code following modern Android practices.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, QA and other developers in an agile team.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural decisions.
• Develop automated tests and contribute to CI/CD processes.
• Investigate and resolve defects and performance issues.
• Ensure security, accessibility, privacy and performance throughout development.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.
