Job summary

Wise in London is seeking an Android Engineer for Design Systems to build scalable UI components using Compose and to lead design-system initiatives across products. You will collaborate with Product, Design, Web, iOS, and other mobile engineers to ensure high-quality, accessible experiences for Wise customers.

The role emphasizes improving UX and code quality while aligning with brand guidelines. Hybrid work and RSU-based compensation accompany the base salary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building reusable UI components with Compose.
• Experience with theme architecture and design tokens.
• Strong API design for internal developers.
• Experience with visual regression testing and UI performance optimization.
• Commitment to accessible, inclusive design.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in full feature lifecycle from discovery to release and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and support other product teams.
• Champion Design Systems initiatives to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver impactful experiences for internal and external users.
• Help new Wise engineers ramp up on Design System tooling and practices.
