Job summary

ActAI is seeking an Android Developer to own the Android client experience for an AI-first mobile app. You will build production-grade Android applications in Kotlin where AI interactions are central to the product, ensuring performance, reliability, and clarity on devices.

You will integrate AI features via backend APIs, design UX for streaming responses, and collaborate with ML engineers to optimize latency, memory use, and scalability in production environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Android development with Kotlin.
• Experience integrating AI features (LLM, vision, speech).
• Proficient in asynchronous programming with Coroutines/Flow.
• Experience publishing apps on Google Play.

Responsibilities

• Develop production Android apps using Kotlin and ensure AI features are core.
• Integrate AI-powered features via backend APIs.
• Design UX patterns for streaming responses and partial results.
• Optimize performance, memory, and responsiveness for AI flows.
• Implement analytics, logging, and feedback capture.
• Collaborate with backend/ML engineers on API contracts.
• Ensure app stability, security, and scalability in production.
