Job summary

Springcare are offering a vacancy for an Ancillary Assistant to join our team. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, infection control and laundry across our care home environment, with full training provided.

Shifts run 8:00–14:00, 14:00–20:00 or 20:00–08:00; driving licence not necessary as transport to/from work is provided. Successful applicants will have two references and DBS as part of safe recruitment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is not essential; full training provided.
• Two written references required and DBS check.
• Evidence of right to work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness, infection control and laundry standards are high.
• General cleaning of communal areas and residents' bedrooms.
• Hoovering, cleaning bathrooms and deep cleans.
• Laundry of residents' clothes, bedding and other items.
• Assist the kitchen team.

The role

As an Ancillary Assistant with Springcare, you would take pride in ensuring that all standards of cleanliness, infection control and laundry are carried out to a high standard.

Everyday can be different within a care environment, some of the daily activities that our team carry out are:

• General cleaning and tidying of communal areas and our residents' bedrooms
• Hoovering, cleaning bathrooms and carrying out deep cleans.
• Laundry of resident's clothes, bedding and other items.
• Assisting the kitchen team

Experience in a similar role is not essential; as we will support and provide you with full training.
