Analytics Manager (Full-Time) - Salary – £52,675 - £61,454 (dependent on experience) - Hybrid working

About the role
As an Analytics Manager you will work closely with the OS Maps Growth Lead and be supported by the OS Maps Analyst as part of our Growth Team, tasked with bringing OS Maps to more users and subscribers than ever before. You will empower the OS Maps team to make better decisions by owning and developing our analytics strategy across product, marketing and performance to enable us to make better decisions, validate our successes and learn and adapt quickly when things go wrong.
OS have invested significantly in world class analytics tools to power our next stage of growth. Your role will be to help us develop our strategy and tracking plan to ensure we get the maximum value from these tools, deliver great experiences for our users and grow our subscribers and revenue.
Your responsibilities will include
Owning the OS Maps Analytics Strategy and Tools
Developing and maintaining our tracking plans and roadmap
Continually developing and moving forward our analytics capabilities by keeping up to date with new tools, theory and practice
Shifting our capability further into predictive and prescriptive analytics through dynamic modelling and live data
Developing and maintaining our experimentation capabilities and filling a key role designing, implementing and reviewing experiments from within the Growth Team
Developing our understanding of challenging key performance indicators such as LTV, CAC, Conversion, Retention.
Leading the technical discovery, refinement and implementation of new analytics requirements with product and engineering teams, supported by the relevant Product Manager
Working closely with product, marketing, partnerships and engineering stakeholders, including some external agencies
Preparing and presenting updates and analysis to stakeholders right up to senior leadership level
Planning and forecasting annual budgets and five year plans supported by our Finance Partner

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a candidate who has experience in an analytics strategy role encompassing both app and web. Experience of working in a similar role at a consumer subscription product will be a great advantage, but not essential for the right candidate. While you don’t need to be an expert in the specific tools we use, you will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience in some key technical areas that underpin our analytics strategy such as product analytics and marketing attribution. You will have experience of developing and/or maintaining an end-to-end analytics strategy across app and web in a similar role.
Essential Criteria
Experience in a data science or analysis is essential for this role, and related degree is preferred, but not essential if you can demonstrate that you have a good understanding of the fundamentals and equivalent work experience
A good understanding of event-based analytics across both web and native app. Experience with Amplitude, Mixpanel, Firebase or a similar solution will be a significant advantage
Experience in marketing attribution, in particular mobile attribution, particularly having previously used AppsFlyer, adjust, Branch or similar tools to attribute mobile app marketing traffic
Proficient in at least one query language such as SQL
You will have strong reasoning skills and experience of using data to validate or challenge an assumption such as looking for positive correlation between two actions in a data set
Ability to work independently, managing your time effectively and meeting deadlines, checking in with your people leader for help when you need it and keeping them appraised of your progress
You will have good communication skills and be able to articulate complex ideas and evidence in a way that is easy for others to understand
Experience in PowerBI will be an advantage, specifically maintaining dashboards of critical business updates. Similar experience in Tableau or a related platform would be acceptable
You will be an advanced user of Excel, and preferably advanced DAX skills to enable you to get the most from our PowerBI tool

Salary – £52,675 - £61,454 (dependent on experience)

Location: We embrace a hybrid working model at OS and understand there is no one size fits all in relation to how we work. We have a fantastic HQ in Southampton, Hampshire where you will be based and required to spend 4 days a Quarter.
