Fixed Term (6M+)

We're looking for two Analytics Engineers (Systems) to join our Business Intelligence team on a fixed-term contract until October 2028.

Using SQL, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, you'll work with data from end to end, ingesting, transforming and modelling information from multiple systems before turning it into high-quality dashboards, reports and actionable insights. A key focus of these roles will be supporting the implementation of new systems and delivering reporting solutions that help maximise the value of data across the organisation.

Alongside a varied and impactful workload, you'll have the opportunity to continue developing your skills in Microsoft Fabric, AI and emerging data technologies, helping you stay at the forefront of modern analytics and business intelligence solutions.

Working arrangements

At Torus, we embrace an agile approach to working, with the team typically spending Tuesdays at our Liverpool City Centre office as a designated office day. Travel to other Torus locations will also be required on occasion, in line with business requirements and the needs of the role.

What you'll be doing
  • Using SQL, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to ingest, transform and report on data from multiple source systems, creating a consolidated view of information across the Group.
  • Supporting the implementation of new systems and developing reporting solutions to ensure data can be effectively captured, managed and utilised.
  • Developing and maintaining business intelligence reports, dashboards and management information that provide accurate, timely and trusted insight.
  • Working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop meaningful reporting and performance measurement solutions.
  • Writing SQL scripts and supporting the automation of reporting processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Supporting data quality, metadata management and data governance activities, helping to ensure information is accurate, robust and reliable.
  • Producing and maintaining report, dashboard and scripting documentation, alongside supporting user guidance and training materials.
  • Analysing and challenging performance data to provide insight, identify trends and support informed decision-making.
  • Developing processes that maintain the quality and integrity of performance reporting, ensuring information is reconciled and presented in a user‑friendly way.
  • Reviewing performance measures, reports and systems to ensure they continue to support corporate and operational priorities.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in business intelligence, AI, Microsoft Fabric and emerging technologies to enhance analytics capabilities.
  • Managing multiple reports, projects and priorities, ensuring high-quality outputs are delivered to agreed deadlines.
What we're looking for
  • Experience in an Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence or reporting-focused role, with a strong track record of delivering management information and analytics solutions.
  • Advanced SQL skills, with experience querying, transforming and analysing large, complex datasets.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI and Microsoft SQL Server technologies, including SSRS, SSIS and SSAS.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases, data warehousing and business intelligence principles.
  • Experience interpreting complex information and translating business requirements into effective reporting and performance measures.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends and provide meaningful insight that supports decision‑making and service improvement.
  • Experience maintaining data quality, integrity and governance, ensuring information is accurate, robust and reliable.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple reports, projects and priorities to deadline.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to present findings and influence decision‑making.
  • A proactive and inquisitive approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and keeping up to date with emerging technologies, including Microsoft Fabric and AI.
  • Degree‑level qualification, relevant training, or equivalent experience in a similar role, supported by a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Interview Process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a competency‑based interview at our Liverpool City Centre office, which will take place on either Monday 9th, Tuesday 10th or Thursday 12th November 2026. This will be an opportunity for you to tell us more about your experience, technical skills and approach to delivering data‑driven insights, while also learning more about the role, team and wider Torus Group.
